Tsukune Meatballs with Okura

Ingredients: For 12 pieces
12 Okura
0.5 lb. chicken ground meat
½ Onion
½ Carrot
5 leaves Ooba
2 tbsp. shredded Daikon Radish
1 Egg
1 tbsp. Cooking Sake
2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
4 tbsp. Mirin
4 tbsp. Bread Crumbs
1 tbsp. Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper as desired


1. Rinse Okura and boil briefly with a pinch of salt and drain well.
2. Chop Ooba, Onion, Carrot Into fine pieces.
3. Put Chicken meat , onion, carrot, ooba, Egg, bread crumbs in a bowl and mix together into gruel. Add salt & Pepper to taste. Wrap around Okura.
4. Heat Olive Oil in a pan and grill both side until brown.
5. Place in a plate, put shredded daikon over meatball and sprinkle mixed sake, soy sauce, mirin and enjoy!
