Simmered White Turnip stuffed with Chicken Meatball

Ingredients: For 4 servings
White Turnip (Large 4, Small 8)
3.5 oz. ground Chicken
(1 tbsp. Sake, 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce)
1 tbsp. shredded Carrot
1 tbsp. shredded Lotus Root
1 tbsp. shredded Turnip Leaves
2 tbsp. shredded Ginger
3 cups Soup Stock
3 tbsp. Sake
3 tbsp. Light Soy Sauce
1 tbsp. Sugar
3 tbsp. Mirin
1 tbsp. Salt


1. Cut the leaves off the turnip, leaving some stems and peel. Cut off the top part of turnip (use as a rid). Heat top part in a microwave for 2-3 minutes.
2. Cut a bit part of bottom of the turnip to be stable and scoop out to fill chicken meatball.
3. Mix ground chicken, carrot, lotus loot, turnip leaves, ginger, sake, soy sauce in a bowl and fill in a turnip. (Do not fill too much)
4. Put soup stock, sake, light soy sauce, sugar, mirin, salt in a pot and place turnips then cook for 20 minutes under medium heat.
5. Arrange in a dish and enjoy!
